My Lab Board ("we," "us") provides cloud-based dental lab management software. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect: your email address, your lab name, and (via Stripe) your billing information. Stripe handles all payment card data — we never see or store your full card number.

Case and Lab Data

Data you enter into the platform (cases, patient identifiers, dentist contacts, messages, case photos) is stored in Google Firebase. This data is isolated per tenant — no other lab can access your data.

Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized pageview data (path visited, referrer, timestamp) on our marketing website to understand traffic patterns. IP addresses are hashed and not stored in identifiable form.

How We Use Your Data

To deliver the My Lab Board service
To process payments via Stripe
To send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, billing notifications) via Resend
To respond to support requests you initiate
To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your case or patient data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Third-Party Services

We rely on these providers:

Google Firebase — database and authentication
Netlify — web hosting
Stripe — payment processing
Resend — transactional email delivery
Anthropic Claude — AI features (prescription parsing, estimates). Data sent for AI processing is not retained by Anthropic.

Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.

Patient Health Information

My Lab Board may process information related to dental patients (names, dental charts, shade selections). While we provide security controls, we are not a HIPAA Business Associate and you should not enter Protected Health Information (PHI) in contexts where a Business Associate Agreement is required unless we have signed one with you. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you cancel, data is retained for 30 days then deleted, except as required by law or to resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account at any time.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (PIPEDA in Canada, GDPR in EU, CCPA in California), you may have rights to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Export your data in a portable format

Cookies

Our marketing site uses no tracking cookies. The application uses essential cookies and local storage only to keep you signed in.

Children's Privacy

My Lab Board is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
